4. How we hold it securely

Personal information collected through the website is held securely in Australia, encrypted in transit and at rest, and access is restricted to staff who need it. We use reputable cloud providers, keep audit logs of access, and require multi-factor authentication on all administrative accounts.

5. Who we share it with, and overseas disclosure (APP 8)

We do not share your enquiry information with third parties for their own marketing.

Two of our website tools are operated by overseas providers, and using the site involves a limited disclosure of personal information to them:

  • Google Analytics 4 (Google, United States) — page-view and event data used to measure traffic and ad attribution.
  • Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms, United States) — conversion and ad attribution data for any ads we run on Meta platforms.

Both providers handle this data under their own privacy terms, and we rely on contractual safeguards consistent with APP 8.2. By using the website you consent to this overseas disclosure for these analytics purposes (APP 8.1). You can opt out, see section 7.

6. Your rights

You may:

  • Ask what personal information we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct it if it is wrong.
  • Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time (one-click unsubscribe in every email).
  • Ask us to delete your information when we no longer need it.

Send requests to privacy@selems.ai. We will respond within 30 days (APP 12 and APP 13).

7. Cookies and analytics

Our website uses Google Analytics 4 and the Meta Pixel for traffic measurement and ad attribution. We do not use these tools to build advertising profiles outside our own ad accounts.

You can opt out by:

  • Adjusting your browser cookie settings.
  • Using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
  • Using Meta's ad-preferences controls.

8. Retention

We keep enquiry and marketing-lead information for up to 24 months from your last contact with us, and then delete it. If you become a Selems client, your information is retained under your service agreement instead.

Server and access logs are kept for a short operational period and then deleted or aggregated.

9. Data breaches

Selems is bound by the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme under Part IIIC of the Privacy Act 1988. If we suffer an eligible data breach affecting your personal information we will notify the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) and the affected individuals within 30 days of becoming aware of the breach, and sooner where practical.

10. Complaints

  1. Contact us first at privacy@selems.ai. We will respond within 30 days.
  2. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the OAIC at oaic.gov.au.

11. Updates

We review this policy annually and on any regulatory change. The current version and version date are kept at the top of this page.
